Giving back to the community through the Edgemere Community Development Fund process.
HISTORY:
During the ULURP negotiations for the Edgemere Commons development, a $2M commitment from the developer was made to reinvest in the surrounding communities of the development. The Edgemere Community Development Fund is the beginning of fulfilling those commitments. With each phase of the project, a new installment of funding will be placed in the fund and allocated to local community groups. The funds, the application, and the allocation of the funds will be managed by the Far Rockaway Arverne Nonprofit Coalition and The Fund for The City of New York.
